The day I had to refuse a possible job offer from TikTok

I’ve always been fascinated by the big companies. They are charting the course for our world, as we speak. It will always remain a dream of mine to have to be part of such a company.

Google, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Amazon, Netflix, Tesla.

We surely, as a whole, have benefitted from them. Please don’t talk about the naysayers. They always have nay to say, and how do they say it? Using one of the platforms itself which they are saying nay about. That’s an ironic backfire.

Anyway, whenever I get some sort of “job offer” from any of such companies, I get a little high. Like an acknowledgement of some kind, a trophy, an Oscar. That I must be doing some things right. That I must be that good for some company.

There were times when I had to write in and send my resume to hundreds of companies! And wished for even some interviews. I still remember one such job hunt, and I got just 2 interviews out of 100s of applications.

Sadly, even those 2 interviews were unsuccessful too.

So, I never underestimate a state when a company, a big company at that, thinks that I might be worthy to work in theirs.

But, I have moved on to other things. Things that are more apt for my life. For a more balanced life. I can’t serve my current customers well, if I have to consider this employment even if it might be a dream company for me.

So, there, that’s me letting it out.

Is this what they call a bittersweet feeling?

I wonder.
